“In a very tough competition, however, the tuna tacos ended up with the highest marks. Superior in concept and in execution, the “tacos” utilized sushi grade saku tuna that had been marinated with ginger, garlic, chili and top-grade soy. The accompaniment, described as pan-Asian salsa was first class and would leave any seaweed salad in its dust.”

“As good as the Salmon was, the Fish and Chips ($25) clearly “took the gold.” This version goes far afield from the traditional rendition of fish and chips, and the reinvention, is most felicitous indeed. Anchoring the dish was a generous filet of succulent sea bass, so fresh that one might wonder if Azure’s landlocked locale had been magically transformed and someone had just pulled the little darling out of a nearby ocean moments before.”

“The spiced apple crisp, recommended by our server, was sheer perfection. Just a whisper of anise popped the flavors of the apples and the vanilla ice cream enhanced and balanced the crisp.”
